Academic Resources

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is what we use in the classroom as an extension of what we do in our reading block. It is designed for the student to be an independent successful reader. Each child has his or her own reading levels and goals.
AR technology helps your child:

  • Make essential reading practice more effective for every student.
  • Personalize reading practice to each student's current level.
  • Manage all reading activities including read to, read with, and independent reading.
  • Assess students' reading with four types of quizzes: Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Textbook Quizzes.
  • Build a lifelong love of reading and learning.
